Why the fuck is blasfimy a criminal offense? It should be legalised and encouraged! Anyway if someone must be charged it's not the BBC who are guilty of blasfimy, just the makers of the programme who along with the BBC should be rewarded with all of the financial resources of this Jesus Freak organisation which should be outlawed! Why the fuck is blasfimy a criminal offense? Sadly it's intolerant peole like this who put such a bad name on the Christian faith, a religion that is all about tolerance etc (or about people aspiring to be tolerant and understanding, giving etc). Unfortunately this group is doing the exact opposite, fundemantalists of any kind are always going to be a danger to society and freedom.

WW, making the point twice eh. Well, this is also the sortof fundamentalism I am talking about. The whole religious hating is even less cool than religious extremism and, in fact, exactly the same thing, just opposite sides f the same coin.

The way I see it these extremists have transformed themselves into a cult and they target those vulnerable members of society, who are desperate to belong, these fundamentalists should be shown the door.

I actually read somewhere though, and .. where's the lawlord when ya need him .. but I read somewhere that you can't actually sue an organization for blasfemy, only an individual.

well they obviously assume they have the ultimate power behind them and the law will bend to their will.I can just hear my lawyer friend Simon laughing at such blind arrogance..

well time will tell ... it has to be said the production in question was a load of rubbish though, blasfemous or not ... but ... each to their own I guess.

It was utter tripe and considering your man's background and how hard he has worked, to succeed, I think it was a scandalous insult to the man ..

It sounds like this group is full of people who seriously need a nice, safe hobby that does not include suing anybody for anything! LOL! And although I agree it's nutballs like this that make Christians look bad, sadly Christians are human beings and are probably not any more noble than the rest of us, despite what we think their faith is all about. No, I'm not excusing their actions away, but do you think that sometimes people expect Christians to be nnicer than the rest of us will ever be? You can be Christian and mean it and still be an asshole.

Well, I have to wonder about people who ask me if I'm a Christian, and then when I tell them yes, they say, me too. I mean, most people who are truly Christians will tell you right off they are a Christian without even asking if you are. Makes me wonder what they would have said if, instead of saying yes, I had said no? Well, I do the best I can, but I have to admit, I don't hae those 2 things most Christians have, I don't turn the other cheek, and I don't love my enemies. I don't hate them, or wish them any harm, but I don't love them either. I don't have any enemies in actual life though.

I think that the organisation suing the BBC and similar organisations should be outlawed and it should be a criminal offense for them to create problems instead of it been a criminal offense for people to commit blasfimy

Turning the other cheek is just an alternative term for never stand up for yourself and let your abusers walk all over you..

Which is what these Jesus Freaks want so they can convert more people and if "Turn the other cheak" is what Jesus Christ said, then obviously he must endorse people having their minds abused because he doesn't encourage them to defend themselves against it. That makes him as much of a twat as those who take advantage of the minds of people who are vulnerable such as depressed or ill people in order to increase the amount of people attending their churches.
